CACTUS concert

so my concert is over. yes CAC+US (or cactus) concert. I'm under the cac sub club, jazzttitude. (cac, seriously thanks for spelling our sub club name wrongly for our door... -.-)

so lets take a look back on the jazzttitude journey before i start blogging on cactus!

i think street jazz was never my first choice for dance, in sem 1. but i chose it over synergy because i thought i wasn't good enough and was scared of the commitment. anyway, its still jazz so kind of what i wanted. well, i guess i was wrong cos there weren't many spins and jumps but more sassy/sexy movements. and i really couldn't keep up with some of the choreo for each sem class. which was scary cos we would be video-ed down. but after some time i learnt to enjoy the dance genre. and made friends! (yay abigail and wee teck!) we also had weekly dinners before dance lessons. dance became something i looked forward to every week, though it was a still a burden to come to sch on thurs (cos it was sometimes my free day last sem) and bring a shoe bag to sch on the days ive tutorials.

decided not to audition for crew cos i felt that i was not good enough but to audition for the annual cactus concert instead.
it was a good choice! eagerly awaited the results for the audition and got in!!!! was a bit disappointed that i couldn't go for jazz camp but hope to go for the next one! and i told myself to diet and lose weight before the performance but nope, didn't manage to. in fact i think i ate even more food cos it was the hols and kept going out. hehe.

practice for the item started in sem 2 week 1. yes we only had about 7 official rehearsals for the items, plus 1 full dress, 2 official self prac and 1 bump in. we also did 2 dry runs before the actual performance on each performance day. cactus became something that i looked forward to. the big milestone in week 5! 12-13 feb.
got really worried after the first rehearsal cos i couldn't keep up with the steps. so asked weeteck and abigail out to practice. met at scape, found a quiet corner and we did improve a lot i think. thanks to the both of you!!! :)
future rehearsals were as tough, cos  i still struggled with the new choreo. ended up being a burden to others around me (like novi) who patiently taught me the each and every step! there were others too, whom i kept going to for help! blocking wasn't as scary as i thought it'll be.
and then came the next bomb, costumes. emerald green, solid blue, bright yellow, bright pink. need to have at least 2 colors, and have a black base. get black shoes. great, i didn't have any of these. so had to go to buy!! chance upon a $3.50 bright yellow/green shirt. went shopping with wee teck, abigail and friends that abigail introduced to us, weiling, gwen, marlene and samantha(she's from jj and soci too!) shopped at bugis where i got my black skirt. and llao llao after :) finally got my shoes from cotton on, the kind that is 2 for $30. and black stockings cos tights look too black. needed something see through. accessories were very last min, but managed to get a cute blue bow rubber band for the hair and blue arm band for the hand. yay! all under $50. so my whole outfit is bought! ( bought another set of stockings cos the first one split)

then week 5 came and its time for the final pract. i wasn't that good with the choreo yet but with help from my friends again, it was better! we had a really big dressing room with many 4 long rows of lockers (i think there were almost 60 lockers) and a set of mirrors on one side of the wall. mirrors were quite pretty cos of the lights around it. i got locker number 30! wee teck and zhuomin were beside me. hehe. think i spent a lot of the 3 days (that we were in the dressing room) with wee teck cos our lockers were side by side, and abigail, whenever we had to do something. bump in day wasn't a good one. 12th's performance was better then bump in but could be improved and 13th's performance was the best!!!
so thankful to all who came down to see me, even if its just a 3+min item on stage. we danced to bang bang by ariana grande and calling at hearts. didn't like the song choices at first but the steps and lighting really made everything look nice! thought that we were still messy cos of the dance steps and costumes (we were the most colorful of the lot!)  but friday's concert seemed good!

it seems like ive been looking forward to this concert so much that after its over, theres no more motivation for this sem, nothing big to look forward to. maybe i'll go back for sem classes. need to have another goal for this sem!

29th dec
siva! hehe planned to have a buffet outing with her so we went to seoul garden! she ordered fish, i got chicken. lol! different taste but both were nice i guess. and they had log cake and ice cream!!! yay!!! should have taken more log cake. hehe. walked around city square mall. tried to shop for clothes but as usual, i dont buy anything. it takes a long time for me to actually buy something!!

30th
busy day, quite tiring but fun!!!
went to shareen's house! ok we met at causeway point to buy baking ingredients. ended up only needing butter but we bought some other stuff too like nutella and biscuits. walked round a bit, cos sha didn't want to go home so early.
reached her house, played with cats (yay daisy and tiger), had lunch (her mum cooked! its nice as always!!!) then baked. we took a long time to bake, cos we did many small cookies. but they tasted nice and sweet!!! didn't have much time to do other things :( time flies with I'm with you sha. we met at like 11.30 and i left at 6!!!
cheezebuns outing! ok ended up only rachel, shuying, zach, binxi and me. haha! met at dhoby but took some time to meet twin first! and saw shawn but he didn't see me so ended up talking on wa. had skinny pizza! and free truffle fries. why do we always have free truffle fries with rachel and shuying? :) walked around, ate at cold stone creamery. yay ice cream!
called twin when i got home. so nice to have her back in singapore!!!

31st
janaga for brunch. at our market. quick catchup. she's leaving singapore soon! :( guess i'll send her off at the airport. :)
dad's colleague's new years dinner. a lot of food, like tom yum and chicken wings. was spicy so i ate more rice and sushi, hehe. drank a bit of alcohol, played mahjong (super bad at it. i never win!! ok won once but its just once!) reached home in time for fireworks!

1st
rest day at home! new year's day!!

2nd
met siyao in the morning for coffee bean breakfast! she always gives me things when we meet. :) thanks a lot girl! and thanks for walking round vivo with me. its a pleasure to have a good friend like you!
went to dhoby at 1, met suru and siva for laser tag and pizza hut! thanks girls for agreeing to play laser tag with me though it was expensive! and second time having pizza this week! it was a good day! love talking to the both of you.
was so tired when i got home. hehe one whole day drained me out. next week how? 2 groups of friends  a day for 2 days and the rest of the days its 1 a day. good luck to me! :)

12th-15th dec

was overseas in melaka!

tried to shop but all we bought was food. i dont understand how people can go overseas and buy so many clothes. maybe I'm in the wrong country/place. :(

overall i think i ate a lot, slept a lot, slacked a lot and this period of time is when a lot of people started to wa me. idk why so spent a lot of time slacking on the hotel room bed and using my phone. oh and the hotel tv's AXN and some other channels had english shows with english sub. it made watching shows like CSI and bluebloods much easier cos we can hear and read what they are saying!! 

meals were normally buffet breakfast, buffet high tea(it was included in the room rate-equatorial club room) and dinner  so ate a lot of food! not to mention all the other stuff we bought like chicken, coffee bun, dumpling and all the stuff from jonker street. also went to hard rock cafe melaka! :) yay to sprite and rum, sprite and vodka! had one night of japanese buffet. took a walk to jonker street after that cos i was so full!!!

tried to swim but failed cos the water was too cold. we've been to this same hotel so many times but never even tried swimming till this trip. wanted to go to the gym, got too lazy. ended up having a massage instead. hehe. 

oh the bathroom was huge!!! soaked in the bathtub while using my phone. quite scared that the phone will fall in and spoil :( the shower area had a rain shower! 

wanted to watch hp on the car's tv for the journey to and from melaka but the tv had no sound and we couldn't get the subtitles to work without the remote( which was in my dad's office) so we couldn't watch :(

overall the trip was relaxing and yay to family time!!!

16th dec (tues)

met cheryl, melissa and victor for cafe hopping. first time doing real cafe hopping! went to 4 in one day! told them to meet at botanic gardens mrt to go to food for thought. only when we reached there did we realise that we were at the other end of the gardens :( decided to walk through the gardens. it was a good walk! and good catch up session. we had french toast and some breakfast set. took the bus back to the mrt.

next stop, creamier! cos its one mrt stop away. hehe. had waffles with double scoop of ice cream. nice nice!! it started to rain so we tried to keep out of the rain as much as possible. despite me telling them to bring an umbrella, we only had 2 umbrellas between the 4 of us :(

went to wimbly lu at serangoon area. haha thanks to all of you for locating the place using maps cos i know i'd had gotten lost if you weren't with me! had 2 cakes there. it was nice!!! :) and played with a cat on the way back to the mrt. so cute! it looks like a siamese. maybe cos of the colour (brown and black)

went to outram wanting to go to group therapy but it closes at 6. :( we reached outram at 6! started the day at 12. sorry for the poor planning! ended up going to a cafe which idk the name and had fries. 

had a good day with the 3 of them! thank you so much! :)

17th dec

laser tag with chapters people!!

first laser tag experience. we played 3 games at the dhoby one (i think its called laserops) first game was  individual against everyone else. second one, we were divided into 3 groups (my group consisted of the chapters people i went with. the other 3 groups were girls from other schools i think, they were all younger then us and kept screaming!) so we had to shoot other team's members. came up first for this mission cos i hid somewhere and just shot anyone who came. haha didn't know the laser could be shot at a long range too! the first game, i was this blur person cos i didn't know there were pads behind me so people could shoot me from behind (once shot, we had a 6 seconds penalty) and i didn't know why my gun couldn't shoot ( cos i was having the penalty and didn't bother to hide myself but once the penalty was over, i was immediately shot again :( ) 3rd game was capture the flag. haha we got first for the 2nd mission and 2nd for 3rd mission (2nd i think cos we all kept shooting people but failed to capture our flag. and someone took our flag down!)

all in all, it was so fun!! want to play again!!!

had lunch at yi gen main. it was good! then had my first llao llao! shared a sanum with cher. it is so nice!!!!

came back and slept. haha looks like laser tag took all the energy out of me.

18th dec

met rachel at 1.30 at my house. then went for lunch at group therapy. eggs benedict!! watched the hobbit with rachel and shuying at tiong bahru cos that was the cinema that was the least crowed. couldn't get our tickets till shuying came cos the lady at the counter said we needed her student pass to prove that we are students. and she was almost late!!! the show was ok i guess. not a follower of the hobbit nor LOTR so i just watched it cos shuz wanted to watch. 

went for dinner at ps cafe. omg it rained on the way there and the food is so expensive!!! we ordered a glass of champagne each, shared a ribs and shared a chocolate desert. it was $110!! and with free truffle fries cos it was truffle day! imagine if we had to order truffle fries.. more expensive...

walked to ntuc to get chips, drinks and ice cream before going to my house cos we planned to stay up late to watch LOTR. stay over yay!! lasted till 3am then we all slept.

19th dec (fri)

officially woke at 10am. lol! and most of my carebearas were wet cos the it rained heavily and the rain came in :( poor cafebears, dont grow mold k. wanted to go to sentosa but we couldn't cos of the  rain so stayed at home, ordered pizza and continued to watch LOTR.

finally decided to leave home for llao llao at kent ridge( yay no queue and yay to giving me a lot of yogurt for my sanum. shuz wanted to complain cos hers looked miserable). went to holland to eat churios!

had a christmas party below my house so we went to get food, talked to them for a while then went up to watch a show. tiring stay over but fun!!!

22nd dec (mon)

outing with some S1 peeps.  went to penny university with jacq, victor and junyu. wanted it only cos cheryl wanted it but she didn't go in the end :( its nice to meet them again after such a long time. yay to talking to all 3 of them a lot even after the meet up! 
went down to dhoby for minds cafe with victor, junyu, shawn and fadhil. played crimes against humanity. and i think victor and junyu judged me after that. :( and the building blocks game (can't remember what its name is ) and i think we conquered it cos each level either had the middle piece or 2 side pieces left so we couldn't continue with the game! amazing. these guys are good. first time out like that with all guys. new experience but didn't feel weird at all. i guess they're just so nice and accepting. thanks for today everyone! :)

met belle and jiaxin at night, for dinner. chicken rice at ghim mho! :) short dinner session but I'm glad to have been able to meet up with them again!

23rd dec

prawning with dad. hehe supposed to leave early. but i woke a little late and we went to ikea for breakfast. wow ikea breakfast is really cheap. so we ended up reaching punggol for prawning around 11 plus. prawned for 3 hours and we caught 39!! best catch so far. yay!!! went back, bathed, fetched mum to physio. then we had dinner at orchard, some korean bbq buffet. today was a good day. i love spending time with family :)

24th dec
its been a year since I'm officially single :) been hard sometimes but being single has its perks too. i was glad to have jacq to talk to immediately after waking up.  well more like slacking on the bed and refusing to get up. and just chatted over wa. but you're the best jacq! :) i dont think anyone else remembered. and 2 of my close friends were overseas. I'm glad that ive someone to count on. still looking for that special friend in uni. maybe you're the one. one day i'll tell someone that i love all of that person, but yes one day. not now.
had lunch with mum then bought log cake!!!! yay! i guess the rest of the day was spent resting at home and lazing around. can't remember the exact day but i think its around this time that i started watching running man. hehe. 

25th dec

christmas! nothing special? it felt like any normal public holiday or weekend just that we had a christmas tree and family gave me presents. yay! a lot of friends i know spent christmas and new year (and the eve of it) with friends or lovers. i used to think that they are lucky and i would want that too. its fun, and it means you're close to the person. but i treasure what i have, spending time with family. though we may not do much, i know that my family will be there when i need them to be

26th

trickeye museum with weiyi and junyu. haha meeting at 8.30am at vivo became meeting weiyi at 8.50 and junyu at 9. had an early breakfast at macs. and glad we went early cos the queue was quite long after we came out. also had to sort of wait for a while at each exhibition, if not it'll be quite fast! went to slappy cakes after that for lunch! had fun drawing shapes and all. but i can't draw even a heart so mine all came out weird shaped :( rained as we were going back so got all wet. good weather to sleep in so i slept after going home. hehe, one of the earliest days that ive been home. 

when i met you in the summer

i guess this title is a good one. so my uni life started in june (ok, actual lessons started in aug but the camps started in june.)
went for hist camp, 12-14 june. arts camp, 16-20 june. soci camp 3-6 july. and i just crashed o week for a few days. enough to get teased and make new friends. :)

i said that uni life started in june cos i went for camps and met my new friends there. little did i know that i would spend almost the whole semester with the friends i made from camps. from attending lectures and tutorials, to having lunch, to projects, to even cca, i was with at least 1 camp friend. and so i am ever so grateful to all my camp mates and friends that in made in the summer. it was a good semester, i was hardly ever alone and almost always had someone to lunch with. even at dance, i had a friend with me (thanks sp!)

camps were good!
will always remember hist camp as the slack 3d2n one, and my first camp. where we had to hunt the whole FASS for our ogl but couldn't find her. where we had good food. where we had supper from "china chef" at utown green, my first walk from utown to fass/eusoff, my first htht session, my first NUS friends. the only camp that thought us about bidding. yay to romans!
arts camp was the one that was the most tiring, the most activities, the least sleep. like 12-13 hours for 5 days 4 nights. cheering at 1-2 am, sp time at 12am. first taste of ameen. first time clubbing at butter factory (it was a good experience and the guys i was with were really nice). station games where we just played. beach day where it was so hot, the tan was bad and the skin peeled. the long htht sessions with my room mate. the night walk which my poor mate had to bear with me for like 20 min? i realized that i can't really remember many games we played.it was more of the interaction and friendships that i remember. anyway, s1 swee ah!!
soci camp was the yolo camp. we didn't do amazing race round singapore like the o comm planned but went bowling and ate ice cream instead. played in the sea instead of going back to bathe after beach day. stayed up till 7am for htht on the last night. unicorn became a fish! haha! ok all the inside jokes. the only og that had successful weekly lunches during term time. cheezebuns! :)
o week. i crashed as a helper. no regrets though. did get to know the og better and you all were super enthu!! good job as the best og of the best house :D

from each of these camps, I'm happy to say that ive at least 1 good friend. very very very thankful for you all. i may not remember much since it has been one semester but there were good memories. see you all at og outing!!!

sem life was a breeze in terms of social life cos of my og mates. can't say the same for my studies though. dread the results but come what may. yr1sem1 was fun in its own way. and ive no regrets on what i did :) the transition from jc to uni in terms of studies was not easy. in fact, i think i need to study harder and play less. lets hope for that in the next sem!

ive been gone for a year. so much has happened. i guess thats what spurred me to start blogging again. too lazy to change all the fonts and colour of the words even though i dislike green. urgh how do i even change it? anyway lets start with the blog post and we'll figure out about it later.

so dec hols started last week. wonder if this is called winter break cos the other long hols is summer. hols have been busy as usual. right from the end of exams till today, ive been out everyday. today's the only time i have to rest and relax before starting a hectic schedule again.

4th dec (thurs- ive to write this cos i remember my calendar based on days and not dates)
freedom!!! ok had a stomachache before my last paper and missed a prayer session. and the paper was super hard! but ok its over!
met Eunice at vivo to watch penguins of madagascar. and had dinner! had some htht too. walked till we were tired so sat at a random chair to talk. so thankful to have met you at arts camp and take 2 mods with you this sem. hope we dont lose contact even though we're going to be in different majors thus different mods. crossing fingers. dont forget me k!!!

5th dec
went out with mum, sent my phone for repair. on the way home, called ayilisha to see if she's free. and we decided that i should go over to her house in about 3 hours! love this impromptu meet ups. never really had a chance to do this cos i always plan my days at least one week in advance. so yup if you want to meet me, it must be  planned a week in advance if not i'll squeeze you into my schedule which means odd hours like 8am to 12pm. haha! anyway played with ayilisha's play station, some fighting game that was quite fun!!! and took pics! btw all the pics are either on fb or insta so go stalk there if you want pics.
met abigail for dinner at night. walked the whole of clementi mall until we got bored of it. had swensons then baskin robins. i guess sometimes its good that we dont really talk often cos when we meet, we never run out of things to talk about! but i guess we should start communicating more soon?

6th dec
went for dental. so glad that my teeth are fine. hehe. used to dislike the dentist cos it was always associated with pain. need to floss more often!
watched mocking jay part 1. can i be annie so i can date finnick? :) can't believe ive to wait one year for part 2. anyway part 2 is the battle. it feels like HP deathly hallows where part1 was the build up and part 2 was the fight.

7th dec
met jiaxin early in the morning. thanks for waking up early to meet me! by early i meant we met at 9am. lol! at je. had breakfast, wanted to buy a gift but ended up walking to some army family day showcase. quite interesting! we took pics on a tank. used night vision glasses in a totally dark place (jiaxin just had to ask if we can see ghost with this) and use a rifle. oh people kept asking us if we wanted to sign on. but nope, I'm happy with studying sociology in NUS. :)
met alex at noon for prawning. it was fun! i think he reads a lot (so lots of general knowledge) and loves animals so he gave me a crash course on a prawn anatomy. think i learn a lot from him that day. and he's nice:) and prawning is fun!! just that i dont dare to remove the hook from the prawn so he has to do it for me....

9th dec (mon)
sent grandma off to the airport. had a  nice nap in the car to and from the airport.
went to the library to look for soci books just out of interest but i took hist books instead. ww2 still fascinates me. if only hy1101e has more focus on ww2 :(
met amanda at bugis! watched mocking jay again. went for honey comb! it was good but a little ex if not for the groupon voucher that she got. went to vivo to buy ingredients and dinner but we took so long that we only started baking around 8? along the way, we tried to trick each other's friends. haha sorry jy for falling prey to me and my friends a second time. :)
and twin stayed till almost 2am cos we couldn't finish baking. but we did cupcakes and cookies which are good! who wants some? :D

10th dec
6 hours of sleep. i woke up and wanted to sleep more cos i think ive a lack of sleep and had busy days (as seen from up there) really want to have a whole day at home to just rest, watch shows, etc. but i know I'm not that kind of person so i shouldn't do it. but I'm worried of getting too used to be out that I'm scared to be alone at home again, like what happened this sem. :(
anyway finally got out of bed and met jacqueline! watched interstellar! it was a long movie but good!!! wanted to eat macs for their cheese shaker fries but ended up at pizza hut again for the student discount. hehe. pizza with lots of cheese and the cheese bottle spilled on my plate so i had LOTS AND LOTS of it! :) didn't have much time cos i had to leave so short meeting! :( hope to see you again soon.
met cousin at HV to eat fries from hatched and ice cream from the daily scoop. eating a lot today!! haha! went home to pack my stuff, got a stomachache that led me to the toilet 3 times. :( went to look for a job, finally back to my cousin's house. wanted to watch a show but was too tired so she ended up sleeping early.
i was bombarded with like 9 conversations on wa, a message on fb and snap chat. maybe cos i havent been replying them but you know, there is a point in time when you just dont feel like replying cos there are too many to reply. and despite that, i felt more alone then ever. not to say i wasn't talking to good friends. i was! but just felt so disconnected. so thank you sp, for spending over an hour on wa trying to console me while i struggled to keep my composure for other conversations and poured everything out to you :) you really are a nice guy!

11th dec
its like 11.25am now. rest day!  i think of tmr and i feel tired already. well will update as and when i can.

on a side note, see, ive been going out so much but its mostly cos i initiated it. i wish that for once, or more then once, people would initiate to ask me out instead of always me asking. it feels tiring to have to do that and i dont want to anymore.
also, should i take up a job that will drag into term time?

when i met you in the summer! ~ next post will probably be about school life!

a levels ended on 28th of nov. my journey in JJC is complete. i wouldn't call this sch 'home', but i will be thankful to this school for giving me the opportunity to meet at least 2 people who are very important to me. i think they should know who they are. i remember that i entered this school, during the open house, with Nas beside me. i remember the friendly atmosphere, the warmth, the sort of bond i saw between the people there. i remember walking through the side gate(which is no longer in operation) with a new found friend that i had just met that day. interesting how jjc let me make acquaintances at the weirdest times, and at such unexpected times. be it orientation cheering, lectures, standing outside the lecture theater, cca fair, even along the corridor. and as i walked out of school on the last day of a levels, i was with my closest friend from JJ :) (yes jiaxin, thanks a lot for all that you've done for me to make these 2 years an enjoyable and memorable experience!) i didn't really feel a sense of loss, sadness or nostalgia as i walked out of those gates. i think its cos the people who are important to me, like me, are no longer in there anymore. in fact, as i walked out, they were beside me and with me, both emotionally and physically. and i would never have wanted a different life or experience in jjc, without them. :)

i haven't posted here for ages. oh well. live hasn't been good. its like just study, study and more study. and stress. not just from studies but other sources as well. sometimes i'll get moody in sch and become very quiet. other times i'll be happy. haiz. is it mood swings? or am i really affected by whats happening around me?

found some pics of the second and last day of sch for primary sch. i remember my class was the one nearest to the staircase and we didn't want to dirty our classroom or something so we went to party at the stairs with chips, drinks, etc. and i also remember crying on the last day of sch cos i didn't want to leave. kellock! miss it so much. things have changed since i last went back. i'm afraid to go back again cos i don't know what else may have changed. is it better to remember the things the way i do? or to move on and accept the kellock that it is now?

then i wonder what i did on the last day of sch for stc. i remember i did skip one day of sch for the last week of sch cos lessons were a waste of time. it was just self study. and o levels the week after we ended sch. i don't even remember what happened on the last day. unless i count the last day of sch as the day we ended our o levels. bio paper 1? then celebrated 2 friend's bday in the canteen before going home... and meeting again later in the evening for badminton and a movie.

wonder if my friends who shared these memories with me remember them?

and i wonder what the last day of sch will be like for me in jjc. will it be like stc, one that i can't remember? or will it be like kellock, a memory that i treasure? its mid june. a levels start in nov, study break starts in oct. will i have to count the end of a levels as the last day of sch? or will i remember the last day as the day before study break? who will be there with me?

been having lots of flashbacks recently. and i suddenly remembered why the color of my blog posts are green! i don't even like green... anyone can help me to change the default color??? i remember i put the posts this color cos when i first created this blog, someone important to me loved the color green. needless to say, that person has disappeared from my life, as many others have. yes, i am thinking negatively these days. so just bear with me.

so now its june hols, 2nd week. lets see what i can remember from this week!

Jiaxin, Christine, Jodie and Claudia came over to study. well, we started off the day cooking maggie mee. ok, it was almost a failed attempt cos i couldn't start the stove! -.- hahaha! still, we ate.. and that was our lunch i guess? did some history then went to vivo. forgot the name of the shop where we ate but the mushroom soup was good!

tues
met up with my stc netball junior, yoges! studied for a while then watched after earth( cos she's crazy over jaden smith) the show was ok. but its so predictable that the two main actors won't die cos they're the only 2 main actors and main actors won't die! i'll give the show an average. walked round vivo for a while more and talked a bit before going home! had kfc for dinner :)

met si yao!!!!!! for breakfast at starbucks. its so sad that we were primary school classmates for 6 years and live so close to each other but we don't have much time to meet... we were never that close until the p6 KL trip. still, i'm glad to have her as a friend. even though we meet about once or twice a year only. but when we meet, its like we can keep the conversation going forever. its like being good friends, don't have to meet up everyday! and we walked round vivo. i've gone to vivo for 3 consecutive days! :(
went to ikea for dinner with dad. meatballs, donuts, chicken wings, salmon!!! :)

went over to grandma's early in the morning. met a lao yi(or i call her lao chi cos she's my primary school chinese tuition teacher). one of my grandma's good friend. nice to have met her after so long. we meet about once a year ? sometimes less :( had to use mandarin to talk to her. a bit hard. my mandarin is rusty! did some work and slept too!
stayed over at grandma's! aunts came over for dinner. and talked to yi yi till almost 2 in the morning. yes, i've been sleeping around 2 this whole week. quite fun to talk to her! :D

woke up feeling very sleepy and my eyes were so tired. went to tiong with grandma for macs breakfast! and walked round ntuc after that. grandma is so funny, she asked me to pay for the stuff from ntuc and she'll wait for me at the entrance. after paying, i couldn't find her! so i walked round... and she walked off to buy other stuff. hahahaha! it scared me for that 10 min i was trying to find her!
went back to grandma's after breakfast. started talking to amanda :) twin!! <3 glad="" here="" i="" m="" p="" re="" so="" you="">tried to do some work but to not avail....
at night, dad came to fetch me. went to centrepoint to walk round robinsons. had dinner at swensons! chocolate fondue. :D love it! had a long car ride before we went to the airport. then picked grandma, aunt and mum and we all went to ikea for its 25hours cook out or something like that. wanted to eat at the dim sum buffet but it was sold out :( so we had hotdogs instead :) reached home around 2am! so i slept at almost 4.... hehe :P

so... jiaxin told me to blog! i've been on hiatus for quite a while? see, the thing is, i'm increasingly annoyed by the fact that i seem to be the one remembering things but others don't remember it. so what's the point of remembering events, outings, fun times, conversations or maybe even sad times, when the other person/people forget? and i blog cos i want to remember these times. since no one else remembers, why should i?
ok... i admit, maybe i'm a bit harsh in saying NO ONE remembers, but i guess this is directed at some people(not all) who i think are important to me, but they just don't remember so why care. ok, those of you who know what i've been going through this week or so, you'll understand.

still, i said i'll blog, so here goes!

ITS THE HOLS!!!

so lets start with 1st june, first day of hols!(sat)
went for some injection :( then met Ayilisha at bukit merah library to study. we planned to stay till about 5, but didn't last cos we were both sleepy after lunch. maybe its cos subway was so filling!!! :( so we left the library around 4. but, i must say, it was productive! was quite a good way to meet up and talk about stuff too!

sun
went to watch dirty dancing! :) i like the male lead dancer. he's good and he's got a tan body! haha! oops! the show wasn't as awesome as i thought it would be. will be watching stomp soon, hope its nicer. wanted to go to the food street, the one at F1 pit... idk what its called... but its like $28 to enter. though its $20 worth of food vouchers, WHY SPEND $20 on dinner? :( a bit expensive... so, we went to the nearby popeyes! chicken was ok.. what i like is the biscuit! :) sunday well spent! :D

had my dental appointment. hopefully the last dental for a long while! (actually no, still have to go for the normal every-six-months check up :( haiz... ) met da yi ma at woodlands(what is the mall's name?) for lunch. pizza hut! loving it! then went to her house to play with her cat! meow meow! took a bus home. yes, from woodlands all the way home. long long long bus ride, slept a bit in the bus :)

met twin!!!! :D we met at city hall mrt, then walked from there to millennia walk. haha! so we actually walked pass 3 mrt stations. but the walk was good. bought some awesome but expensive cookies. and a chocolate cupcake from 12 cupcakes. shared a shepherd's pie for lunch. yes, expensive food but ITS SO GOOD!!! so twin and i went shopping around orchard after that. i didn't actually buy much... just nail polish and food! bought this big bar of chocolate cos its $5.  GSS! <3 a="" and="" astons="" at="" ate="" back="" break.="" central="" chicken="" cos="" dish="" explore.="" for="" haha="" healthy="" ion="" one="" orchard="" p="" pics="" potato="" roof="" s="" salad="" scape="" see="" shared="" shoes="" side="" take="" tea="" then="" to.="" to="" top="" twin="" underground="" unhealthy="" walked="" wanted="" wedges="" went="" with="">in total, we spent about 7 hours together? haha! my feet hurts and i was so tired after that! of course, the 7 hours included the time we spent walking round in circles cos we got lost so many times! haha!!! but it was fun!!

my tuition day! 4 hours straight of econs tuition from 11-3. met jiaxin at vivo after that for coffee bean! she wanted to get a drink :) i had a mud cake. it was good!!! then another 2 hour tuition from 7-9. so tiring... but a productive day!

met jiaxin, jodie, huiqin, claudia at clementi. then went to christine's house to study econs. YES WE DID ECONS!!!! quite a fun day. lunch was soup and pizza. tasted quite good!!! and we saw her cat. we had work and play time :) then bought some buns at clementi before going home. tastes good!!!!! can't wait to study again!

stayed at home the whole day...to study.. but i slept for most part of the day. haha! had a korean buffet dinner with parents. meat was good!

sorry, the last few days are short. i'm tired from today... and if i don't sleep soon, i'll get hungry. so... goodnight! i'll continue tmr! (well, hopefully!)

downloading songs and i realized that every song is a sad song??? wth. time to find more cheerful songs. but maybe cos i'm just feeling down. missing someone, feeling stress. you know the feeling when that emotional support you had for the past year or so is not there anymore? life goes on, we must live. i know we can't help it but people always become distant. still, I've my carebears with me :) and i must say that i'm grateful for my friends. especially last night. i said i can't sleep and they talked to me. yes, i ended up sleeping at 3am.

people say that a bride looks the prettiest on her wedding day. that smile she gives when she's getting married, its priceless. wonder how it'll feel like to be able to smile like that. wonder what she is thinking. wedding = best day of her life? whenever i see a bride smile on her wedding day, i believe its true. its true that its the most important day of her life. wonder what its like, to walk down the aisle holding your dad's hand and seeing the man you love waiting for you at the end. will you want to let go of dad? or will it be hard, will be it painful, what will you be thinking?

this week was good. got back all my results. so its BBU/B and C for gp. looking better then last year's results, but i guess the teachers were more lenient this time? lots of people did well for lit. no one failed lit or hist in my class. and so... my U is for econs!!! disappointed with math though.

so.. what did i do this week....
mon had tuition..... tired... sleepy. wasn't feeling too good either. got bad news i guess?

pe was napfa, 5 items! got A for everything but standing broad jump. so sad. must retry till i get at least a C! and sch started late so i had a nice long talk with Nas in sch! went to lt5 too and heard some random guy play the piano. nice! :D tues are long days...

short day! forgot to consult a teacher. jiaxin went for netball match so i sat at the back in class. :) had some gp talk( okay, actually its some straits times talk thing about politics and singapore conversation-which i couldn't understand at all so i left a little bit before it ended). went to ikea for dinner! chicken wings, pasta, apple pie! :D walked round ikea too. i like seeing the showrooms. think i saw tosh there with his gf but i can't be sure..... tiring night, but fun time! :D

short day!! finally! yay! didn't feel good, didn't run 2.4. will do a retest. went home to rest and sleep. think i'm going to be sick soon. hope not!

kind of a short day in sch too. but fri is always long! tgif! :D sch was okay. had fire drill during our only break! why sch, why??? consulted mr toh at 12.30. and he was having a class!! but he gave the class a test so i sat behind and consulted him. scary.... went to jp for lunch! jap food. then went to the park opposite. had macs ice cream there! :D couldn't eat much for dinner cos of that. hahaha!!!!

so, i haven't posted much?

lets start with today. played badminton with cousin. tried some interesting things on court like we can't hit beyond a certain boundary. fun, but tiring. she kept making me run :( still, good work out for 2.4 this coming thursday. haha! had dinner at carlton hotel with family tonight. 8 course dinner! (only cos i pointed out the set menu. lol) good food! pics are on instagram!

life has been okay so far i guess? went to eat yogurt with Nas on mon! :) and cousin stayed over last weekend! thats all! bye..

first week of term 2, j2. exams!!!

let's start with last weekend. sat night, after dinner, cousin, aunt, parents and i went to west coast park for macs and to play at the playground there! :) went to satay by the bay after that. left the place around 12? loved family time. we played hangman! :)

studied hard at home in the day. then met jiaxin, huiqin, claudia, jodie for dinner at vivo. went to eat at marche. seems like only i enjoyed the dinner... i'm sorry guys, its expensive! :( went to get ice cream after dinner. walked on the board walk and talked about stuff. opened the presents they gave me. two big notebooks, a pencil case, letter from jodie, letter from jiaxin and sweets and more from jiaxin!!! :) yay!

this years bday was the best. in the past, it was always me who had to plan my own bday party, invite friends, etc. this year, my friends asked me out. all my good friends didn't forget my bday and wished me. and i went out on my bday!!! this year is really treasured. truly, an 18th bday, well spent. and happy! thank you all so much!!!!! <3 p="">

fri
met up with twin! :) had lunch with her at pique nique(yes, expensive but the food is good!). so we talked about all the things that have been happening in our lives since we last met. we haven't met or talked much since like, jan? open house day. miss twin! :( went to the roof of jcube to talk and talk and talk! haha! walked to science center to play with the outdoor garden there. took pics too! great stress reliever and i'm thankful to have a friend like twin! <3 much="" p="" so="" thank="" you="">
wed
road run at lakeside/chinese garden. well, not really a run for me. haha! jiaxin ran! i just walked most of the way. at first with christine, then with yorksun then with shijia! :) quite fun to walk/jog with shijia. can't wait to see their syf performance. :D was disappointed cos i i promised to meet him but didn't get to see qian during the run. j1 boys and j2 girls took the same route but the boys started later. haiz... should have been slower cos when i finished, he was behind me by a bit!!! went to get water with jiaxin. she got into top 50! congrats! :)
walked with qian and jiaxin to lakeside mrt. stopped by some playground thing to play. climbed up some rope thing, had a good view and wind but was very hot!!!! had burger king with jiaxin at jp. walked round to buy gifts :)
met and sent me home! :D YAY!!

went to NUS open house with jiaxin! crowded, only managed to attend the FASS talk. looks like I'm destined to be in there. haha! went to the booth too. and business and law booths, find out more! had subway. btw, open house was at utown. and the place where we alighted from the shuttle bus is so far from the booth and talk area(we alighted at yale-nus). apparently, the shuttle bus pick up point was near the halls. and so jx and i got lost when looking for the shuttle bus back to kent ridge mrt! :( haiz... but a good half day spent with jx! :)
went home, cousin was at home! studied :( steamboat dinner at night! plus cat cake from mum for bday!!! thanks a lot, to my family. :D

so i still haven't posted for quite a while. one week? maybe? so this week has been full of drama fest prep! finally drama fest is over! and it was good! :)

got back chinese a level results on fri. its quite bad... oh well... :'(

went for SMU open house on sat. quite interesting. its just like lecture style, no tutorials! :) and quite carefree but also very busy. most people take double majors or double degree. so will have to work hard to get in!

i haven't posted again for 2 weeks. haiz... maybe i just keep forgetting? or too many things are on my mind now. like drama fest. let's just say that i hope its going to be a success? too many problems, too many conflicts, i don't feel like bothering much about it anymore. anyway, its the last lap. i'm not really needed. drama fest is next week btw. then there's the NUS sociology conference tmr! busy week this week. hope tmr will be fun! :)

so today, went to watch les miserables with mum!quite a nice show! its long, but it doesn't feel that long when we watch it. and its quite sad... but still a good show! really enjoyed it! :)

i guess there's nothing much else to post about. i'm still not able to get out of my 'sad' mood. oh well, hoping it'll pass soon enough.

so cny this year was fun!!!! :) 4 days of holiday! :)

reunion dinner was at grandma's.  its like a normal saturday dinner i guess. ate chicken rice! :) and some soup with fish balls and fu zhuo yuan. quite nice. :)

day 1
wore a pink dress and i successfully put on make up by myself. it looks good! :) yay! went for prayers then headed down to grandma's again. this time the adults had curry chicken and i ate chicken fried with smashed biscuits and egg. :) nice!!! seriously ate a lot! my appetite increased for cny. haha! watched criminal minds with cousin. felt so sleepy.... went home. had dinner with parents and granddad. straight after dinner, i slept!!! till about 11 plus? haha! after that, couldn't get to sleep so talked to a friend on fb till about 4 am. not the first time i slept at 4 this weekend. lol! the other time was fri night i think. let's become nocturnal! can study more when its nearing A levels. haha!

day 2
busy day. wore a turquoise dress this time. and tried different variation of makeup. seems like i've changed this year. putting on make up for cny! headed to dad's sis place for lunch. everyone was there this year!!! YAY! good to be able to see my family. as of now, i've two nieces and two nephews. :) 3 cousin married already. wonder who will be next :P took the opportunity to talk to my cousins. some drunk guy went to box one of my cousin when he was walking home. stupid drunkards. and played mahjong too! maybe i had beginner's luck. haha!
headed to aunt's place. again ate lots of food! and cny goodies too! haiz... going to gain weight. but who cares? haha! :)

overall, cny this year was great! :) spent quality time with family and not studies at all. will start work tmr!

last week was kind of a rough week for me. had to deal with my really terrible marks for tests. and some things happened in sch too. oh well, things can only get better. and, i made a new friend :) yay!

kind of sad too, cos its my last time doing cip. hard to leave the place, but i've known from the start that my cip will only be a year long thing, so the end is inevitable. had fond memories of the place, and it was great to work with the elderly. maybe one day i'll go back and help out. :) maybe its fate, maybe its a sign. cos... well, my last day of cip was helping out at the stamp exchange. and it was the same thing i did on the first day of cip. so its like i did the same thing on the first and last day. coincidentally, its the only two times i helped at the stamp exchange.

well, what can i say about this week? its the start of feb, I've not done much revision... and i've not done my best for hw or tests... oh well, need to try harder!!!

this week, been sleeping late.... idk why too but should start aiming to be asleep by 11? so i'll have more energy for the day. can't really remember much about this week. but went for lunch at pizza hut on fri! and bought cry clothes(dresses, yes DRESSES)!!! also got all my cny goodies! time to start cny!!! yay!!!!!

i really have to check and re read what i write. realized that i have been making many spelling/tense errors without knowing.

anyway, 3 weeks of sch has passed. time really flies! i haven't been doing much revision though i said i will... haiz. been so distracted. next week onwards, i'll just go home and mug! i want to, and it seems hard, but its not impossible.

so what happened during the past 3 weeks?
did cip with Nas. second last time doing cip. oh well. its been a year actually. and i think the cip hours were well spent. :)

did gardening in sch too to help lao shi. she always does it alone, pity her and feel sad for her. no one to help, and she's getting old too... haiz.. watered the plants. they all looked like they were dying. so sad...

went out for lunch a lot! mostly with jodie and jiaxin! ate pop eyes, pepper lunch(with qian too!) and astons(with Nurul too!) quite a fun 3 weeks!

had lots of tests... don't think i did well for any of them. oh well :(

last week of hols!

really have to thanks Nasuha for accompanying me for two days. helped me study and not sleep! and!!! not be bored at home! met her on wed to study at my house. had lunch at vivo then came back again to study. didn't do as much in the afternoon. we just talked, and made plans. plans to save up for our prom and what to do after a levels! :) each day save some amount in our "piggy banks" which are identical!!!! perks of having a good friend!!! :D thought of booking a hotel room to stay in after prom. anyone else interested? :P a day well spent with Nas! :)

met york sun at clementi mall to study and do hw. talked, ate, did work at burger king. but it was unusually noisy cos one group of guys were talking loudly :( walked round the area. met jiaxin too! then met jodie, christine, nurul and her bf, justin. bused to blur horizon condo for bbq! i love poking justin and douglas. hehe, me evil... :( so tried to defrost the food. talked, took pics. pushed douglas into the water with jiaxin even though he was already wet(cos he pushed jodie in with the help of matthew) haha! sze eng, xueyi, matt, douglas helped us to buy food!!! :) so bbq-ed. first thing i ate was black pepper chicken. so hot!had to eat many mash mellows after that to quell the taste. haha! played with ball, played with water, played with the rest, played cards! one of the successful bbqs i've had! :)

oh yeah, and thanks to all the new friends i made this year! been marvelous knowing so many new people in jj and making new friends! :) you all helped me through what would have been a tough year without good friends! :)
